About Fahd Khan, MD
As a neurosurgeon, Dr. Khan is committed to alleviating pain and suffering in his patients and curing them whenever possible. He specializes in brain surgery, including trauma and tumors, as well as spine surgery of the neck and back. He also has specialty training in spinal cord stimulation, deep brain stimulation, epilepsy surgery and surgical pain management. He cares for patients with cancer, stroke, spasticity, pain, spine disease, Parkinson’s disease and tremor.
Dr. Khan values the interactions he has with patients and makes himself available to them before and after surgery to answer any questions or concerns. He sees the majority of people within one week and schedules patients within 24 to 48 hours for emergencies.
When Dr. Khan meets with a patient, he treats that individual with highly personalized care. For him, the patient is the most important person in the room. He treats his patients as if they’re family members and tries to make their experience hassle-free and comfortable.
His thorough exam includes a detailed medical history, comprehensive physical exam and review of all imaging studies. He then works closely with patients to develop a customized treatment plan. As a rule, he considers all non-operative treatments before suggesting surgery. If a patient does require surgery, he can perform a number of advanced surgical techniques for the spine and brain.
Dr. Khan enjoys working with El Camino Health's team of nurses, technicians and doctors to provide advanced care in a convenient setting to improve the health of patients.
