Ilene Newman, MD

Ilene Newman, MD, is a gynecologist with more than 30 years’ experience providing comprehensive women’s health services. After graduating from New York Medical College, Dr. Newman completed her training in obstetrics and gynecology in 1985 at the University of Rochester, New York, and has been actively practicing in San Jose since that time. In addition to English, she speaks Spanish with her patients.

Dr. Newman is committed to delivering compassionate, personalized care. “I love my work because I spend time with so many interesting patients, each with her own unique story. I enjoy getting to know them and educating them about how our bodies function and the many ways to stay healthy. It’s satisfying to treat their gynecological problems completely and to their satisfaction. No one is to leave without feeling that all of her concerns and questions have been addressed.”

Dr. Newman and her husband have three adult children. Outside her practice, she benefits from regular exercise and is thankful to be able to experience nature in California. She loves bicycling both locally and for vacations. She volunteers in the San Jose area in several capacities and is an avid reader, participating in several book groups.
