Jeffrey Coe, MD

A skilled orthopedic spine surgeon, Dr. Coe treats patients of all ages. His expertise includes scoliosis and spinal deformity, spinal tumors, spinal infections, spinal trauma, degenerative spinal diseases (cervical and lumbar) as well as other spinal disorders.

He performs major open reconstructive as well as minimally invasive surgery, including cervical and lumbar disc replacement. He’s passionate about helping his patients recover from painful, disabling disorders. Dr. Coe has shared his medical skills with people from all walks of life — from the U.S. Ski Team to young patients at Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children in St. Louis.

Dr. Coe helped design the Los Gatos Orthopedic Pavilion — among El Camino Health's first-rate locations for spinal surgery care. 

He’s worked in the Silicon Valley for nearly a quarter of a century. His research includes spinal biomechanics, disc replacement, scoliosis and instrumentation (surgical implants). His work is presented at national and international meetings, he writes original articles for publication in peer-reviewed journals and textbook chapters on spinal surgery. He teaches new spine surgery techniques to surgeons. He travels overseas on a volunteer basis to provide spinal care to those in critical need. 

Dr. Coe makes personalized care recommendations for every patient. He’s an exceptional spine surgeon, but he will always explore all appropriate nonsurgical options before recommending surgery. He explains and discusses all treatment plans, including surgery benefits and risks. 

In his free time, he enjoys photography, travel, cycling and hiking.
