About John Rabkin, MD

Dr. John Rabkin is a bariatric surgeon who specializes in the duodenal switch procedure, which isn't offered by most bariatric surgeons. Dr. Rabkin believes this is the best weight loss surgical procedure for many morbidly obese patients because it allows them to continue to enjoy food without the fear of regaining weight, unlike more commonly performed weight loss surgeries.
Dr. Rabkin appreciates working with weight loss surgery patients because of the positive outcomes they see following the surgery. He takes a patient-centric and nonjudgmental approach to care, as many morbidly obese patients are inappropriately blamed for the disease that they suffer from. Dr. Rabkin also tailors treatment to the unique needs of each patient's condition.
Dr. Rabkin thinks El Camino Health has a lot to offer to both patients and surgeons, including a superlative staff, comfortable environment and technologically advanced equipment.
