Kalpana Nathan, MD

Dr. Kalpana Nathan is a psychiatrist who is board certified in adult psychiatry, addiction psychiatry and forensic psychiatry. Dr. Nathan is the chief medical director of El Camino Health's Scrivner Center for Mental Health & Addiction Services. She has experience working in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient facilities in both private and public sectors.

Dr. Nathan provides compassionate, personalized care that emphasizes keeping patients at the center of their own treatment decisions. She became a certified meditation teacher in 2017 and likes to incorporate mindfulness practice in her career.

She explains, "I'm interested in holistic health — enhancing wellness for the individual, the family and the community."

Outside her practice, Dr. Nathan enjoys swimming, reading, writing and hiking with her dog.
