About Melina Rapazzini, CNM
Melina Rapazzini, CNM, is a certified nurse midwife who obtained her master's degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She encourages shared decision-making with her patients and strives to support them by staying on the forefront of evidence-based research.
Melina is passionate about providing care that is trauma-informed, antiracist and LGBTQ-affirming. She was awarded the UCSF 2021 Community Impact Award for her commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. "I am guided by my dedication to upholding patient autonomy and advocacy," she explains.
Before becoming a midwife, Melina worked as a labor and delivery nurse and also worked on a U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Safe Motherhood Project in Zambia for one year. In addition to caring for her patients, Melina has a special interest in reproductive health care policy on a state level.
Outside her practice, Melina loves mountain biking, meditation, solo travel and playing at the occasional open mic.
