Sabiya Raja, MD

Dr. Sabiya Raja is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist. She specializes in normal and high-risk pregnancy, preventive care, contraception, abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids, menopausal disorders, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, and female pelvic floor and incontinence surgery.

Dr. Raja is driven to provide comprehensive, high-quality and compassionate care. “I have spent time abroad during my training and have seen how difficult it is for women to have access to quality healthcare. My goal for every pregnancy is a safe and healthy experience for mom and baby. My focus for every patient is to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care.”

Open communication, trust and respect are the pillars of Dr. Raja’s approach. “I believe in spending time with patients to discuss treatment options, listening to their goals and concerns, and helping each patient make the best decision to fit her unique situation.” She also believes strongly in helping her patients be as healthy as possible by focusing on overall wellness and prevention.

In addition to English, she speaks Spanish, Gujarati, Hindi and Urdu.

Outside her practice, Dr. Raja enjoys playing tennis, crafting, gardening and traveling. She was born in Zimbabwe and grew up in Bakersfield, CA. She and her husband recently moved back into the Bay Area to be closer to family.
