Over the past four years, the Los Altos Hills philanthropists have donated $900,000 to the paddle raise at the gala benefit as a challenge to the community. These gifts are emblematic of their strategic approach to philanthropy, which is to give in a way that encourages others to participate.

The multipurpose healing space, funded by proceeds from Sapphire Soirée 2013, will house a variety of holistic services ranging from financial counseling and nutritional consultations to a lymphedema clinic, yoga classes, massage therapy, and a variety of healing arts, such as journaling, laughter therapy, collage, water color, knitting, and creative writing. In the evenings the area will be used for education, support groups and mind-body programs that are designed to reduce stress.

If you would like to learn about other naming opportunities for the new Cancer Center, please contact Foundation President Jodi Barnard, jodi.barnard@elcaminohospital.org or 650-940-7154.
