Author and The New Yorker staff writer Susan Orlean was the featured speaker at the 9th annual Norma's Literary Luncheon, which took place virtually on February 4, 2021. Following her talk, she and author Kelly Corrigan engaged in delightful conversation. The memorial tribute to El Camino Health benefactor Norma Melchor raised funds for three El Camino Health wellness programs that meet diverse cultural needs in our community: Lifestyle Medicine, Chinese Health Initiative and South Asian Heart Center. Sobrato Pavilion Celebration

El Camino Health celebrated the ribbon cutting for the Sobrato Pavilion on November 17, 2019. The seven-story, 247-792 square-foot integrated medical office building is the first high-rise structure on the Mountain View campus. It will house the Taft Center for Clinical Research, Norma Melchor Heart & Vascular Institute, Peter C. Fung, MD Stroke Center, Advanced Care & Diagnostic Center (Women’s Heart and Wellness Center, Cardio-Oncology Center, Secondary Stroke Prevention Center, Transient Ischemic Attack Center, and diagnostic imaging services), Women's Imaging Center, advanced respiratory care services, the Fogarty Institute for Innovation, endoscopy, outpatient, laboratory and physician offices. 24th Annual El Camino Heritage Golf Tournament

One hundred twenty golfers enjoyed a taste of Hawaii on October 28, 2018 as they teed up at Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club to support El Camino Health’s Peter C. Fung, MD Stroke Center. The benefit raised more than $200,000 for the program. Read more.

Spring Forward

Friends and supporters of El Camino Health gathered at Los Altos Golf & Country Club for Spring Forward on Saturday, May 18, 2019. The gala benefit celebrated the Scrivner Center for Mental Health & Addiction Services and soon-to-open Taube Pavilion. Honorary Chairs Tad and Dianne Taube and Mary and Doug Scrivner were recognized for their transformational gifts. The event raised nearly $160,000 for the addiction services program. Guests dined at gourmet food stations and heard a riveting presentation by addiction medicine expert Dr. Omar Manejwala. The evening concluded with dessert and dancing to the upbeat music of Tony Lindsay and the Soul Soldiers. Read more.

A Night on the Scarlet Express

Nearly 200 philanthropists, physicians, community leaders and supporters attended A Night on the Scarlet Express at the Computer History Museum on March 23, 2019. The gala benefit raised $236,000 for the South Asian Heart Center and shined a spotlight on the Center’s unique health coaching program. Read more.
