Maggie’s career as a nurse began over 35 years ago in Charlottesville Virginia. She was a critical care nurse with a passion for excitement and discovering new places. After journeying West Maggie’s acting abilities transposed to the classroom as a critical care instructor. During this time she began exploration into the world of wounds and ostomies. As a result, she began working in home care and attended the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse Education Program at Emory University in Atlanta. Now over 25 years later Maggie has developed educational tools, published articles related to ostomy management, conducted clinical research and lectures extensively throughout the country on the topics of skin, wound and ostomy management.

Mehrdad Ayati, MD
Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, Stanford University Medical School
Dr. Ayati is a physician, researcher, speaker, author, and an educator. He is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Ayati joined Stanford University School of Medicine in 2011 as faculty where he taught and continues to teach geriatrics and internal medicine to medical students, residents, fellows, doctors, and nurses. He practiced Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at Stanford Internal Medicine Clinic, Stanford Senior Care Clinic, Stanford Concierge Medicine, and Stanford Executive Medicine Clinics. Dr. Ayati is board certified in Geriatrics and Family medicine. His main areas of research and clinical focus are in physiology of aging and on finding practical and innovative ways of addressing the well-being and needs of the population in any age category.

Board President, Billy DeFrank LGBTQ+ Community Center
Gabrielle Antolovich is the Board President for the Billy DeFrank LGBTQ+ Community Center. As a volunteer, of a volunteer-run non-profit, she wears many hats: one being the site manager for the County Senior Nutrition/Vintage Program at the Center. A senior herself, she has become more of an activist about senior, in particular LGBT senior issues.
