Preparing children for the birth of a sibling is very important. During this two hour class participants will make the baby’s first birthday card for the hospital bassinet. They will explore their feelings and what it will be like having a new baby in their home. Role-playing with life like dolls, learning how to keep the baby safe and ways to ‘help’ with the baby are presented in this class.
Each child will receive a 'big brother' or 'big sister' T-shirt. Participants will view a video entitled ‘Sibling Silly".
This class is for children between the ages of 3 and 8. At least one parent must attend the program with their child, but both parents are welcome.
A single registration with completed payment covers ONE child. Discounts provided for registering TWO or more children - call our Maternal Child Health Education department for details.
A full refund will be given for cancellations made at least 2 weeks prior to the class start date. A refund, less $15.00 processing fee will be given for cancellations made at least 1 week prior to class start date. No refunds will be given for cancellations occurring less than 1 week prior to the class start date.
