Online Event Instructions

We will schedule your FREE pre-assessment consultation before the start date of the "STOP-D: Stop diabetes before it starts" program. You will enroll and pay the program fees once we determine if this program is a great fit for you.

The STOP-D™ program is a high-touch comprehensive program aimed at preventing diabetes/better managing diabetes, and losing 5-10% of your body weight in a sustainable lifestyle way. The CDC has recognized STOP-D as part of its National Diabetes Program. We have culturally adapted the curriculum and augmented it with our powerful MEDS™ Lifestyle hallmark platform (Meditation, Exercise, Diet, and Sleep).

The yearlong STOP-D program consists of:

  • Interactive, engaging Zoom classes
  • Tailored personal coaching
  • Social support
  • Weekly email motivations
  • Drop-in Office Hours with Dietitian

The $799 fee for the program (about $67 per month) is FSA/HSA reimbursable.

Over 300 participants have enrolled in the program and have seen a positive change in weight, improvements in HbA1c, and many have reduced or even stopped their dependence on medications.

Being a South Asian, prior to joining the program offered by South Asian Heart Center, it was really hard and confusing to try and manage my diabetes with regular coaches and online material.
