Food is Health Community Recipe Challenge - Contest Rules
Eligibility
CONTEST VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS APPLY.
The “Food is Health Community Recipe Challenge”” contest is open to legal United States residents, residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, who are 18 years of age and over at the time of entry. For the purposes of this contest, the San Francisco Bay Area is defined as the geographic area between (and including) San Francisco and Santa Cruz, and as far East as Livermore. The contest is open to all individuals residing in the Bay Area, including El Camino Health employees and family members. (District and Hospital Board Members and El Camino Health executives excluded). Any employees, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, or other entities or individuals involved in the administration of this contest are also ineligible.
By participating, entrants agree to abide by these Contest Rules and all decisions of El Camino Health, which are final and binding in all respects.
Details
Entrants who provide their valid contact information, including proof of residence, to register for the challenge and who share the dish they prepared from that month’s recipe on Instagram or Facebook (photo or video) and who tag @el.camino.health on Instagram or @ElCaminoHealth on Facebook and use #ECHFoodisHealthChallenge will be eligible to win that month’s prize. Photo or video should include an image of the prepared dish prior to it being eaten and should not include any logos or faces of people in the background. One entry per person per month. Giveaway is open Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 5 p.m. Pacific through Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 5 p.m. Pacific Time. El Camino Health is not responsible for lost, incomplete, illegible, late, or misdirected entries, or for errors in mechanical transmission, technical difficulties, or inability to transmit Internet entries.
Selection of Winners
El Camino Health will randomly select a winner among all eligible entries. Winners will be notified by e-mail or phone the week after the conclusion of the previous month’s recipe. If an entrant selected as a winner does not respond to the notifications within 72 hours of being contacted, is found to be ineligible, or otherwise fails to comply with the rules of this contest, that individual will be disqualified, and an alternate winner will be selected at random from among remaining eligible entries. A winner who receives a prize in one month is encouraged to continue participating in the challenge but only one prize per individual can be won for the duration of the Food is Health Community Recipe Challenge in 2025.
Prizes
One person each month of the challenge will receive a prize. Prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable, and not redeemable for cash, credit or merchandise. No substitution of prizes is allowed. Prize winner is responsible for any applicable tax. Returned or unclaimed prizes will be forfeited, and no alternate prize shall be rewarded.
Conditions and Restrictions
Winners, by acceptance of their prize, agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless El Camino Health, its employees, representatives, contractors, sponsors and advertisers, from any and all liability, loss, damage, costs or claims related to the receipt of or use of the prize or any allegation regarding the award. The Food is Health Community Recipe Challenge may be altered or canceled due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of El Camino Health. El Camino Health reserves the right to disqualify any entrant or winner and may refuse to award a prize to a person who is not eligible or has violated a rule, gained unfair advantage, or obtained winner status using fraudulent or improper means.
Consent and Authorization for Use of Photography/Video/Audio for Publicity Activities
I authorize El Camino Health or its representatives to use my photo and/or video submissions per the Food is Health Community Recipe Challenge rules, and to use and/or disclose my personally identifiable information (PII) and/or my protected health information (PHI) and/or my voice, image and comments in photographs, videos and audio recordings for publicity activities as described below. Only this information may be used and/or disclosed pursuant to this authorization.

I understand that photographs and recordings may be rebroadcast and then used and disclosed by other people and entities who are not connected to El Camino Health.
I understand that any photograph, video or audio recording submitted will become and remain the sole property of El Camino Health or of the authorized person(s) or organization(s) named above, and may be used for any purpose, including medical research, professional or patient education and any other news, public service, promotional or advertisement purposes.
I understand that I have the right to revoke this authorization at any time by delivering written notice of my intent to revoke to: El Camino Health (Attn: Marketing & Communications, 2500 Grant Road, Mountain View, CA 94040). I am aware that my revocation is not effective to the extent that the person(s) or organization(s) I have authorized to use and/or disclose the PII/PHI have acted in reliance upon this authorization.
