Atena Asiaii, MD

Dr. Atena Asiaii is an OB/GYN who specializes in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. She treats a variety of conditions including endometriosis, fibroids, pelvic masses and other complex pelvic pathologies in addition to providing routine gynecologic and obstetric care.

Dr. Asiaii completed her OB/GYN residency at Harvard and completed fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery in Gynecology and Reproductive Surgery, accredited by the Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. In addition, she’s certified in the fundamentals of laparoscopic surgery, single-incision surgery and advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic technologies.

By its nature, gynecologic treatment can feel personally invasive. Dr. Asiaii understands that building a genuine relationship with her patients helps them feel more comfortable in her care.

"It's truly a privilege to take care of patients through some of the happiest times and hardest times of their lives," she explains. "My goal is to make those moments the safest and easiest possible for those who have put their trust in me."

Dr. Asiaii sees herself first and foremost as an educator. "I spend the time needed for patients to fully understand their bodies, the disease processes at play and their various treatment options, so that together we can make informed decisions about their plan of care."
