Mountain View, CA - October 7, 2013 - El Camino Hospital Los Gatos today announced that its Rehabilitation Center has received a full three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for both its Stroke Specialty Program and inpatient rehabilitation programs. The Rehabilitation Center received this accreditation in recognition of its commitment to quality improvement by meeting internationally recognized standards in rehabilitation services.

"This accreditation is a testament to our team's dedication to quality improvement and constant focus on delivering the best patient-centered care."
The CARF accreditation is the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to a health and human service organization for substantial conformance to the CARF standards. To receive the three-year accreditation, the Rehabilitation Center participated in a rigorous peer review process followed by an on-site survey to demonstrate its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality for its patients and families. Of specific note, the Rehabilitation Center was lauded for its enthusiastic leadership and staff, patient-centered performance management process, advocacy and community involvement, and clean and spacious facility, which includes a unique outdoor therapeutic walking path and healing garden.
The Rehabilitation Center at El Camino Hospital Los Gatos is a 30-bed center staffed with a comprehensive care team of physical, occupational and speech therapists, nurses, case managers, a medical director, neuropsychologist, social workers, rehabilitation internists and healing arts program. Additionally, the center is one of only three serving the West Valley/San Jose area.
