Did you know? Men have unique health needs but are 70% less likely to seek treatment compared to women. The Men’s Health Program at El Camino Health is hoping to change that. For more than 15 years, the program has helped men take charge of their health — with services and events, including the Men’s Health Fair.
The most recent Men’s Health Fair was on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the El Camino Health Los Gatos campus.
Attendees met with providers from nearly 20 health specialties at Ask the Doctor tables. Urologist Shahram Gholami, MD, presented on prostate cancer, and Cardiologist Anthony Ea, DO, gave a lecture on heart health. Prostate cancer and heart disease are two health conditions that commonly affect men. The event was free and included a barbecue lunch to enjoy.
“We had over 365 community members attend this year, and our doctors were very busy answering their questions,” says Bido Baines, vice president of operations at El Camino Health Los Gatos. “It’s important for us to host this event because it pulls together the men in our community and gives them the space to talk about health issues they are facing or may face in the future.”
