Experienced physician executive to lead network’s growth and innovation across Silicon Valley

Mountain View, CA – El Camino Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Muster, MD, MBA, MHA, as the new president of the El Camino Health Medical Network, a comprehensive care network which unites exceptional physicians who share a mission to heal, relieve suffering, and advance wellness in our community. He will officially begin his role effective November 17.

As president of the El Camino Health Medical Network, Dr. Muster will provide leadership and strategic direction for our medical group, IPA, and physician alignment strategy. He will be responsible for the growth and integration of primary and specialty practices, ensuring operational and strategic alignment with El Camino Health. Dr. Muster will play a key role in developing and implementing long-range strategic plans that support El Camino Health’s goal of building an integrated healthcare system of the future.

Dr. Muster joins El Camino Health from the Wellstar Medical Group Specialty Division in Marietta, Georgia, where he was responsible for all aspects of operations, financial performance, and physician leadership for more than 550 medical and surgical specialists, 400 advanced practice professionals, and 2,100 team members across 36 specialties. He has served as a practicing physician, medical director, and clinical leader, bringing a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing providers and patients alike. Dr. Muster earned his medical degree at Rutgers University, New Jersey Medical School, and a bachelor of science in biomedical engineering from Brown University. He also holds both a master of business administration and master of health administration from Georgia State University.
