El Camino Health is proud to be the exclusive presenting sponsor for the Girls on the Run Silicon Valley (GOTRSV) 2026 spring season. GOTRSV offers programming for girls in third to eighth grade throughout Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties.
Combining physical activity with confidence building, goal setting and social-emotional learning, this program inspires young girls to recognize their inner strength. Throughout the season, volunteer coaches lead sessions that help participants:
- Build friendships
- Develop future healthy habits
- Increase physical activity
- Manage emotions
- Practice empathy
- Imagine what’s possible
At the end of the season, participants complete a community impact project and a celebratory 5K Fun Run. This year’s run takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Vasona Lake County Park in Los Gatos.

“As a physical activity-based positive youth development program, our lessons and the celebratory end-of-season 5K help empower girls through action, build confidence through accomplishment and foster community connection,” says Melissa Watkins, executive director at GOTRSV.
The GOTRSV program aligns closely with El Camino Health’s mission to support community health and well-being.
