15 Years of Heart: El Camino Health Heart Forum

At El Camino Health, we often measure progress in data points and clinical outcomes.

But on February 7, as we gathered for our 15th Annual Heart Forum, the air was filled with the feeling of a community coming together to look out for one another.

This year’s forum, "Activate Your Roadmap: Lifelong Heart Health," was a milestone in a journey we’ve been on together for a decade and a half. Because of your kindness, the Norma Melchor Heart & Vascular Institute continues to be a place where medical excellence is matched by deep, personal care. And we continue to reach more community members with this vital information; this year we reached more than 1,000 people in person and online, the most ever!

The Voices Behind the Care

The Heart Forum is a special day because it strips away the hospital walls. It’s a chance for our neighbors to hear from some of the best cardiac minds in the country, including Drs. Raabia AhmadDavid Singh, and Chad Rammohan, and simply talk about how to live a longer, healthier life.

Drs. Raabia Ahmad, David Singh, and Chad Rammohan

They shared updates on life-changing technologies like Pulsed Field Ablation, a gentler way to treat irregular heart rhythm. They shared the latest information about heart health and care. A highlight of the day was found in the stories, like the one shared by Mike Inouye, Traffic Reporter from NBC Bay Area. Hearing a former patient speak so openly about his journey made it all real and is a reminder of why this work and your support matter so much.

As a not-for-profit community health system, El Camino Health is focused on helping our community build and maintain health. Your generosity is what allows us to keep this forum free and open to everyone, regardless of their circumstances.

When you support El Camino Health, you are providing:

  • A "Roadmap" for Others: Helping neighbors navigate the complexities of heart disease with clarity and confidence.
  • Human-Centered Innovation: Ensuring our doctors have the tools to perform delicate procedures with more safety and less recovery time.
  • A Legacy of Prevention: Investing in 15 years (and counting) of education that stops heart disease before it starts.

A Sincere Thank You

We often say that "it takes a village," but in our case, it takes a community with a very big heart. Thank you for walking this path with us for 15 years. You are the reason we can look forward to the next 15 with such hope.

Revisit the Day

If you couldn’t join us in person, we’d love you to see the impact of your generosity in action. You can watch the full Heart Forum 2026, or enjoy one of these snippets:
