Community Benefit Program Sponsors 46th Annual MLK Luncheon

On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, El Camino Health attended the 46th Annual MLK Luncheon, hosted by Community Benefit partner African American Community Service Agency (AACSA). The event served as a cultural celebration, with panelists, performances and presentations from Santa Clara County leaders.

El Camino Health was proud to sponsor the 46th Annual MLK Luncheon, hosted by Community Benefit partner African American Community Service Agency (AACSA), on Jan. 19, 2026, at San Jose State University. The event honored the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and featured a keynote address, a panel discussion, performances, presentations from local and regional leaders, and awards presented by AACSA.

Founded in 1978, AACSA is one of the few African American cultural centers in Silicon Valley dedicated to strengthening African American identity, culture, values and traditions. They host cultural events and community gatherings, like the MLK luncheon, that create a sense of belonging and visibility.

“AACSA fills a unique role by providing culturally grounded support, advocating for equity and offering practical services that uplift families,” says Andria Mills, director of Patient Care Resources at El Camino Health. “Their combination of cultural celebration, social services and community advocacy makes them a cornerstone institution for African Americans in the region and a vital resource for the broader community.”

Funding from the Community Benefit Grant Program helps support AACSA’s Family Health Services, which includes health workshops, cooking and exercise classes, screenings and health referrals for low-income children and families.
