Los Gatos Event Highlights Nonprofits

Leadership Los Gatos Event Highlights Nonprofits, Including El Camino Health

Leadership Los Gatos is back after a pandemic-induced hiatus — and El Camino Health participated in their recent session highlighting nonprofits who serve the area.

Learning about community involvement brought nonprofit representatives together with Leadership Los Gatos participants for education and networking. At this year’s session on January 12, Los Gatos Mayor Mary Badame offered welcoming comments, and police Chief Jamie Field gave attendees a look at the Community Police Academy, an educational program to help build understanding between the police and the residents they serve and protect. Representatives from community nonprofits provided overviews of their organizations and missions, as well as volunteer and other opportunities to give back.

Leadership Los Gatos is an eight-month interactive program meeting monthly from October through May. The program is designed to educate, engage and encourage participants to find leadership roles in the community. Visit Leadership Los Gatos to apply or learn more.
