Challenges and Opportunities at the 2026 State of the Valley Conference

El Camino Health will participate in the 2026 State of the Valley Conference as its lead sponsor. The event, hosted by Joint Venture Silicon Valley, brings together people from all over the region to discuss challenges and opportunities, based on data-driven findings about the economy and health of our community.

El Camino Health is proud to be the lead sponsor for Joint Venture Silicon Valley’s 2026 State of the Valley Conference, which takes place Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, at San Jose State University. This annual convening enables people from all over the region in both the private and public sectors to gather, discuss, and understand what is happening in our community.

Derek Thompson, who hosts the “Plain English” podcast and co-authored the New York Times best seller “Abundance,” will serve as the keynote speaker. Following his address, the conference will operate like an old-fashioned “town hall.”

Concerned citizens and stakeholders, journalists, students, academics, elected officials, business leaders and many others will convene to discuss challenges and opportunities in the Valley based on data published in the Silicon Valley Index.

“This data provides our region’s leaders with comprehensive, objective information to support Silicon Valley’s economic and community vitality,” says Jon Cowan, executive director of Government Relations and Community Partnerships at El Camino Health. “The information informs El Camino Health’s critical community health improvement work.”
