El Camino Health Wins Press Ganey Award

Mountain View, Calif. — El Camino Health today announced that its Los Gatos hospital has been named a 2021 Press Ganey award winner. El Camino Health was awarded the Guardian of Excellence Award for Patient Experience in Outpatient Oncology. Award winners in this category have reached the 95th percentile for patient experience metrics each reporting period in the award year.

"Our multidisclipinary team is committed to providing cancer patients the highest quality care every step of the way, from their first appointment to their final treatment and beyond," said Markettea Beneke, senior director for the oncology service line at El Camino Health. "For us, receiving the Guardian of Excellence award reinforces the importance of taking a multifaceted, comprehensive approach to treating cancer, which includes our approach to each patient's experience."

The Press Ganey Client Awards Program chooses a select group of its clients that are raising the bar in care delivery and performance to commend their efforts for creating exceptional patient experiences. Each year, this award recognizes health systems that sustained performance in the top five percent of all Press Ganey clients.

"Receiving Press Ganey's Guardian of Excellence award is a huge honor for our team, who works tirelessly to ensure the best patient experience," said Christine Cunningham, chief experience & improvement officer. "We take great pride in our outcomes for cancer treatment in particular, where we've united leading-edge therapies with compassionate care to serve these patients in the best way possible in their time of need."
