El Camino Health's Heart Forum Returns with a Focus on 'Finding Your Way to Heart Health'

Mountain View, CA – After a year hiatus, El Camino Health has announced the return of the Heart Forum as an in-person and virtual event to educate the community on the latest advances in heart health, prevention, and treatment.

"Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women, affecting individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life," said Dr. Fred St. Goar, medical director of the Norma Melchor Heart & Vascular Institute at El Camino Health. "That's why it's never been more important to empower the community to take control of their heart health, which is exactly what the Heart Forum is all about."

The Heart Forum will take place on Saturday, April 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. PT on El Camino Health's Mountain View campus. In addition, the event will also be available online, providing more people with the opportunity to participate.

The focus of this year's event is "Finding Your Way to Heart Health" and will feature interactive discussions with world-class physicians and heart experts on the following topics:

  • Acute coronary events – heart attack or myocardial infarction
  • Electrophysiology – treatment of A-Fib and other heart arrhythmias
  • Catheter-based interventions and surgical approaches to heart valve problems
  • Medical cardiology, lifestyle and cardiac rehab

"At El Camino Health, we have a legacy of advancing heart, vascular and stroke care at every stage, from prevention, diagnosis and treatment through rehabilitation," said St. Goar. "The Heart Forum has a long history of providing attendees with the tools and knowledge they need to find their way to a healthier heart, and that is why we're so excited to offer this resource to the community once again."
