The two-day event, "Personalized Medicine: The Time is Now," is organized by Partners HealthCare Center for Personalized Genetic Medicine, a collaboration of Harvard's medical and business schools. Widely considered to be the premier event in the field, it attracts national and international thought leaders and is dedicated to exploring the opportunities to make Personalized Medicine a reality.
Friedenberg will join a panel comprised of FDA, pharmaceutical and biotechnology executives who will offer "Success Stories in Personalized Medicine."
"El Camino Hospital has taken a leadership role in empowering both physicians and patients to become early adopters of this technology," Friedenberg said. "Our new Genomic Medicine Institute is the first community hospital-based center of excellence focused on making the promise of personalized medicine a reality, from the research laboratory to patients.
