Advanced GI Physician
El Camino Health Medical Network is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Gastroenterology Physician to join our growing gastroenterology team. This role focuses on the diagnosis and management of complex gastrointestinal conditions, with an emphasis on advanced endoscopic procedures. The ideal candidate will be fellowship-trained in Advanced GI and committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced endoscopic procedures
- Diagnose and manage complex gastrointestinal, pancreatic, and biliary disorders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgery, oncology, and radiology
- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultative services
- Participate in call coverage as part of the GI team rotation
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Completion of an Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship
- DEA license (required)
- California State Medical license
- Strong clinical, procedural, and communication skills
- Commitment to evidence-based medicine and patient-centered care
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-volume advanced endoscopic procedures
- Interest in program development or service line expansion
- Robotic or minimally invasive procedural experience
