Maria is an experienced Human Resources (HR) leader with a strong background in building and scaling HR functions within complex, highly regulated healthcare environments. She currently serves as Director of Human Resources at El Camino Health Medical Network, where she provides strategic HR leadership in support of physician practices and clinical operations.

Known for her practical, people-centered approach, Maria leads initiatives spanning employee relations, talent acquisition, workforce planning, and leadership development. She is deeply committed to fostering inclusive, high-performing cultures and advancing employee and physician engagement through thoughtful, data-informed people strategies.

A central focus of Maria’s work is advancing employee and physician engagement. She leads initiatives across both populations, including the design and implementation of comprehensive rewards, recognition, and wellness programs that promote engagement, well-being, and performance.
