School is out and the summer season has begun! Make the most of the season with the help of a few easy tips.

 

1 minute: Relieve your “tech neck” strain and shoulder tightness anytime by standing in the doorway with your arms elevated at 90-degree angles on either side of the door. Press your chest forward until you feel a gentle stretch. Hold for 10 seconds, then release and repeat a few more times. Don’t forget to breathe deeply and slowly!

5 minutes: Check your spices. Chances are you’ve got a couple of jars that have been opened for a few years and have lost their potency. Add replacements to your grocery list now so your summer recipes will be delicious and flavorful!

15 minutes: Make sure you’re prepared for the hotter months that are just around the corner. Switch out your bedding for breathable natural fibers such as linen or bamboo that will help you stay cool as you sleep.

30 minutes: Take a sunset pause. Leave your phone behind and go outside a few minutes before sunset. Enjoy the changing colors in the sky, listen for evening birds, and watch for the first stars to appear as the temperature dips for the day. It’s the perfect way to unwind and set yourself up for a better night’s sleep.
