1 Minute Tip: Are seasonal allergies stuffing you up? Try using a saline mixture (water and salt) as a nasal spray to loosen mucus and rinse your sinuses.
5 Minute Tip: Leave your shoes at the door and immediately change your clothes when coming in after doing yardwork or spending time in nature. If the pollen count is high, an immediate shower may also be in order.
15 Minute Tip: Clean and disinfect your work area. As many as 283 species of bacteria can thrive in ordinary office dust – whether at your workplace or in a home office. Get rid of clutter and excess piles of paper, then dust and wipe down all surfaces with an antibacterial all-purpose cleaner to keep allergens and bacteria at bay.
30 Minute Tip: Don’t let allergy season derail your daily walk. Pollen counts are generally highest in the morning between 5 and 10 a.m., so consider swapping your morning walk for an evening stroll instead. If pollen counts are particularly, stay indoors and get your heart rate up with an exercise video or a dance session to your favorite playlist. It’s good for the body and soul!
