Summer is right around the corner! Get ready to make the most of it by trying a few of these easy health tips that fit into even the busiest schedules!
1-Minute Tip: Amp up your morning hydration with some lemon water. Just squeeze a half of a lemon into a glass of warm water and enjoy it before breakfast or your morning coffee. It’s a great way to help support your digestive system, replenish electrolytes, and provide a boost of vitamin C and potassium.
5-Minute Tip: Read a few pages of a book before bedtime. Studies show that just 5-7 minutes of reading for pleasure every day can reduce stress immediately, including slowing your heart rate and reducing muscle tension. And if you get caught up in the book and read longer – even better!
15-Minute Tip: Vacuum your mattress. Chances are you change your sheets weekly, but it’s probably past time to show your mattress a little loving care. Use a hose attachment to get in all the corners and tufts and ensure that you aren’t sharing your bed with allergens and debris. Have a few more minutes to spare? Clear everything out from under the bed and vacuum thoroughly. You’ll sleep better knowing your bed is clean and free from dust mites.
30-Minute Tip: With the price of groceries soaring, nobody can afford to waste food! Take stock of everything in your refrigerator and do meal prep based on the “must goes” – anything that is reaching its peak or at risk of going bad if not used in the next few days. This is a great way to create some new salad combinations, and it’s also a fun way to get the entire family involved in putting together some innovative new menu items.
