Bring in the new season with a lighter spin on this familiar recipe!
- 2 cups Almond milk or milk of choice
- ½ cup light coconut milk
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp peppermint extract
- Candy canes
- Sugar free whip cream
- In a large pot, combine the liquids and bring to a simmer.
- Add the cocoa powder, honey, vanilla extract and peppermint extract. Whisk together until combined. Simmer for a few minutes then turn off the heat.
- Let the mixture cool slightly before serving. Top with whip cream or candy cane pieces.
