Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Bring in the new season with a lighter spin on this familiar recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Almond milk or milk of choice
  • ½ cup light coconut milk
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract

Optional toppings:

  • Candy canes
  • Sugar free whip cream
  • Marshmallows

Directions:

  1. In a large pot, combine the liquids and bring to a simmer.
  2. Add the cocoa powder, honey, vanilla extract and peppermint extract. Whisk together until combined. Simmer for a few minutes then turn off the heat.
  3. Let the mixture cool slightly before serving. Top with whip cream or candy cane pieces.
