Summer 2016 Health Tips

1 minute tip: Start with water. Start every day with a glass of water before your morning coffee or juice. You’ll replace fluids lost overnight and get a great start on your hydration efforts for the day.

5 minute tip: Plan a vacation. Even if you can’t take the time off work or don’t want to break the bank – plan a short getaway. This could even be a night at a local bed and breakfast or a short, overnight camping trip. Vacations and time off can help lower your blood pressure, heart rate, and stress hormones.

15 minute tip: Make a fresh meal. Farmers’ Markets and access to organic, local produce are in abundance, and different things come in to season throughout the year. Pick out some fruits or veggies that you’ve never tried and find a healthy recipe that uses them.

30 minute tip: Plant a garden. Gardens are a great way to get outside, get some light exercise, and improve stress levels. Plus, if you plant veggies, you can harvest your own organic foods. Even if you don’t have room for a garden, you can cultivate a small flower box or even a few flower pots.
