Health Library Services

Health Library & Resource Center staff are dedicated to assisting patients, families and the community locate resources and information they need to make informed decisions about their health.

You can use the services at the Health Library & Resource Center, located on the main floor of the hospital, in person, over the phone or online. If you visit or call, the same professional research librarians who support the information needs of physicians and nurses at the hospital will assist you.

At the Library

Medical Databases

  • PubMed. Designed for doctors, this database provides nearly 34 million journal citations, covering virtually all areas of medical study.
  • Up-to-Date. This exceptional resource, which is only available at the library, provides clinical and patient education. Physician editors maintain and update the content by reviewing hundreds of journal.

Remote Access From Office or Home

Online Databases

Using the code on your free library membership card, you may access professional quality online databases of health information — the same databases used by your physician including the Cochrane Databases covering clinical treatment guidelines and nursing information from CINAHL.

The Health Library Catalog

Look up the books available for checkout. If you find something of interest, call us and we can put it aside for you to pick up during library hours.
