Banking of Tissue and Blood for Pancreatic Disease Research

Skip

Study Type/Phase: Specimen Collection/Research Repository
Status: Recruiting

The purpose of this study is to collect tissue and blood from patients who either have a disease of the pancreas or are at a high risk of developing a disease of the pancreas. These specimens will be used in future medical or health related research (e.g., studies of pancreatic cancer and other pancreatic diseases). During an on-going treatment or diagnostic procedure, tissue and/or blood samples are obtained and transferred to the Canary Center BioBank at Stanford University along with some personal health information that will allow researchers to better understand the collected specimens. Researchers hope to obtain advances in medical and health information by studying these specimens.
