醫院「華人健康促進計畫」的醫生指出,高鹽飲食是導致高血壓的一項危險因素,建議大家改善日常飲食習慣來預防並控制高血壓。

美國心臟協會指出,鹽份中所含的鈉可影響您的健康。過量的鈉會打破體內鈉與水份的平衡,讓您因水份積聚造成浮腫、腹脹,加重心臟和血管的負擔,進而增加高血壓、心臟病、中風等的罹患機率。

對於民以食為天的華人而言,如何兼顧健康與美味,是大家都關切的主題。El Camino 醫院由營養部經理,也是臨床營養師高雯(Barbara Chang) ,從華人料理的習慣和常用的食材舉例,講解如何能兼顧健康與口味,以低鹽來幫助降低血壓。
